Next week.

Who's going to be TiVo'ing it? :D

(Glad to see the Replicators back in Atlantis. kyle90 and I were wondering where they were)

Aren't they different replicators? I thought the ones in SG-1 were wiped out.

Yeah, I think they are different. Probably, in some form, the ancestors of the Replicators they destroyed in SG-1.

And I'm glad RDA is coming back for Episode 200.

ugh, no.

The replicators in SGA are a completely different form of replicators, unrelated to the ones from SG-1. The only possible way they are connected is if a former Ancient was the one that created Reese, which I don't think is very likely. Completely different origins, completely different constructions. What part of "several thousand years" didn't you get? The SGA replicators existed long before Reese did.

True, but there are similarites to the SG-1 human form replicators (i.e. the whole hand in the head thing). But yes, completely different origins and all that.

And I did get "several thousand years." We'll just have to see what the writers do next with them.

Edit: Also, from http://www.gateworld.net/atlantis/s3/305.shtml -

Quote:
Weir is stunned, and suspects that the Ancient experiment may have been the genesis of the Replicators that SG-1 battled in our own galaxy. Those mechanical beings were created by an android that was invented by a mysterious scientist -- possibly one of the Lanteans who resettled in the Milky Way galaxy after the war was lost.

Yeah, I eagerly await episode #200. I haven't watched this weeks shows yet, though.

so far the new series have been enjoyable.

especially SG1, although this weeks and lasts atlantis episodes were especially swish.

I'm looking foward to the 200th, I've heard there could possibly be a mention of the Furlings... (though, I doubt we'll actually see one)

As for the SGA replicators, they kinda had to make them to tie up the plot hole from SG-1. The ancient database in Jack's head had an anti-replicator weapon, why would there be an anti-replicator weapon in the Ancient database unless there were replicators during the Ancient's time...
Though I think they should have shown that weapon during the flashback scenes in SGA...

Yesterday's episode convinced me that the Ancients are nothing more than highly evolved employees of the Dept. of Homeland Security or the local DMV. I.E. the biggest ****ups ever.

Wraith? check
Replicator-like creatures? check
Galaxy-wide doomsday device left FULLY INTACT? check
Anubis? check
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Well yeah, we already knew that. But leaving their replicators like that was just damn careless. If they could make plans for SG-1's replicator gun, you'd think they'd be able to make a much bigger one, and hit the city with that. Trying to just BDZ the place wouldn't cut, anyone could figure that out for themselves.

If I were them, I would have rewritten the code to remove violence before trying to blow up all the replicators. They way if I missed one, they'd still love me.
But I have to agree with you that the Ancients aren't seeming to intelligent lately. Maybe that's why the Furlings aren't around, they were sick of the stupidity of the Ancients and moved to be far away from the Ancients next big mistake.

Feh, SG1 has been going downhill, wheras Atlantis is getting really, really good. I thought the wraith were a crappy enemy, but they've really stepped it up with both the Genii and the Asurans (Replicators), enough to spice up the wraith threat to the team.

i dunno, for this series so far, i've been enjoying the SG1 episodes more than the Atlantis ones for the most part.

Well, mostly its even, but that episode were SG1 went to Atantis was awesome.

I'll bet someone in the episode gets kidnapped.
And every other "suspense" based show.

And after someone gets kidnapped, they'll need some ancient technology to save them.

And it'll need to be fixed.

And there will be silly antics between characters in the heat of battle.

God I hate TV.
