So today was positively beautiful outside. Upper-70's, bit of humidity, nice breeze.
Matt and I were sitting down at our patio table after playing frisbee for a bit, when I turn to him and inquire "I wonder if Gorilla Tape will hold me up? It's supposed to be 'The Toughest Tape on Earth'."
Matt started at me like I was insane, and I told him to fetch the tape. He did, and we set to work. I tried all sorts of variations and bonds to tape me to the tree using my hands. None worked. Then I looked up and remember my inspiration: A cup I taped to the tree.
I went and grapped an old pail filled with water, we taped that to the tree. Matt grabbed a trashcan, we taped that to the tree. I grabbed a gas can, we taped that to the tree. Matt threw a frisbee to me, and we taped that to the gas can. I tied my shoe the the gas can, and then taped it as well knowing it needed a good bond.
So I had a nice adventure today (about 5 minutes ago), albeit not very adventureous.
We were going to try taping that chair to the tree, but decided against it. Should I go back outside and try the chair as well?
Oh, and therefore I AM TOUGHER THAN GORILLA TAPE, OBVIOUSLY.
This post is inspired by kyle90, and his wild adventures.
1. Almost everything.
2. My cup for inspiration.
3. The pail.
4. The shoe.
5. The shoe with tape.
