Krull.
Yeah.
It was good. I liked it. I thought it was gonna be War of the Worlds meets Lord of the Rings, but it turned out to be more Star Wars meets Princess Bride, for better or worse.
I found myself nerding out by assigning DnD classes to the characters.
King Dude: Paladin
Old Dude: Cleric
Silly Magic Dude: Bard
Old Magic Dude: Wizard
Prisoner Dude: Barbarian, possibly thief levels
Kid: I dunno. I thought he was holding some obscure weapon through the whole movie, which, combined with the haircut, made be think Monk. But then at the end it turned out to be a staff of dispel magic or something, so maybe Druid, based on the way he interacts with the Bard when he wildshapes.
Teenager: I was thinking Barbarian... I'll stick with that, I guess.
Cyclops: Druid.
Liam Neeson: Only person to ever be in another movie. I mean, Ranger.
Rest of Prisoners: Mostly thieves, some barbarians. EWP for the whip dudes.
I didn't bother with the bad guys. That's probably covered in d20 future or something.
And, it should be noted, this felt a lot more like a DnD adventure than any of the DnD movies, or the cartoon.
-Also notable: I have had that exact glaive experience in various games, where someone gets a weapon they fall in love with but lose because it's not their destiny or something.
