FINISH HIM?

Only you can decide.

[EDIT: Gah, can a mod stick the poll on here? I forgot]

Ryu > Guile.

Not sure where you're going with this, but Guile and Johnny Cage FTW.

Not only would Ryu beat up Guile but he would then use is awsome strength to jump to the other picture and defeat Johnny Cage and Sonya all before the time ran out.

Ken would come in and kill everything.

I think he means Street Fighter versus Mortal Kombat. :p

Although I love MK, SF was always better for endless frantic fun with mates, especially when you kicked your best mate's arse with a pink T.Hawk.

Oh, and it also wins for having the Ken theme.
nope.

I always liked playing SF in the arcade. It's a bit of a button masher though. I always loved seeing a little 8 year old kid beat the snot out of teenagers on it by just mashing every button as many times as they could. I think MK required a bit more skill to get the special moves down and all.

MK did not the depth of SF2 have...

Oh, in that case:

Street fighter. For sure.

Street Fighter.

Also, Ryu > Guile and Cage > Sonya.

/me polls Martyn up good from sunday to all day.

I'm here baby, ain't got no computer at home until at least the end of the week, possibly not before late september so I'm limited to work time and I have the time.

As for the thread's topic : Street Fighter.

Although if you'd ask for the greatest character in the two series, I'd go with sub zero, followed shortly by scorpion, moving on to Ryu and Ken.

Street Fighter, easily. Although MK: Deadly Alliance was quite fun.

Oddly enough (after mansecksing) I'd take Ken to Ryu to Sub Zero to Scorpion.

On the whole Mortal Kombat has a better concept and story (hehe), but lacks the gameplay depth that Streetfighter has.

Let's be honest here, a country mile is no longer than a city mile. Martyn, you are foolish.

Street Fighter has much more depth and requires more strategy than Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat tickles me in ways Street Fighter just can't. Along with Wolfenstein, it gave me my first taste of bloodlust, and my mom hated it, so I fell in love.

MK on Game Gear was awesome :P

I played that game for so long, though that jumping kick exploit against Goro got annoying after a while and I couldn't stop myself from doing it :(

You can't play any game on the Game Gear for long. The batteries run out in about 10 seconds, and then you've got to replace all six!
