And this time i hope for dignified answers

Thief II which i think runs on the Dues Ex engine? is for 5$ at a local store, My comp crappy as it is meets the requirements. But dues ex never worked....

So to buy or not to buy?

Thief and Deus Ex were made by the same guy, but I think different engines, as the guy that was making Theif left halfway through to do Deus Ex

Gah. It's not that hard. This took me about ten seconds using Google.

Thief II demo

It ran excellently on my old pentium II, so you should be fine. It's an excellent game and more than worth the five-dollar price tag.

They're not the same engine, and it will likely run fine on your computer. Deux Ex will run like crap unless you have a newer computer or a 3dfx card.

Dues Ex runs FINE.. When its nor shutting down and giving me errors [IE 99% of the time..].

for $5 go for it. personally i didn't really like theif that much, but it'll make a nice coaster if nothing else.

Deux Ex ran on the Unreal Engine, I don't think that thief did though.

Whats really odd is UT and Unreal run fine but Dues Ex hates me..

Its ****ing annoying.

Thief ran on the Dark Engine, which SS2 also used.

Well even if Deus Ex runs off the Unreal engine, you need to remember that each company who buy into the franchise usually modify the engine to fit there needs, thus its not surprising that they could have implemented (or bugged) something that your pc cannot handle.
