but for those of you who don't: wow.
I had a blog. It sucked.

That could have been a memorized sequence. That seems much more likely to me than if the cube was randomly jumbled.

Even so, that's pretty good one handed. And while you have a valid point, how could they hold a competition then?

Bah, I bet happydud could do that ;)

Seriously, the guy's more of a poser for doing it with one hand. :-p

Uh... except not? Even back when I had long hair, that only bears a little resemblance. Besides, he's not nearly tall or skinny enough :P

Once you get it back to a certain point, all it is a knowing the right sequence. One of my friends from high school could solve it with his eyes closed.

Solving a rubix cube in 20 seconds is not impressive. Doing it with one hand is. The dexterity for that...

Although, rubix cubes in time trails and competitions are greased up real good and are very easy to manipulate.

Yeah, I know someone who can do it quick like that too, but not with one hand.

Sweet merciful crap that's fast. I've probably only ever gotten a single side done at most :)

Yeah that's what I was going to say

There are algorithms that you can work with so that you can always solve a cube, even with your eyes closed, blindfolded, etc

There are simple move sequences to switch specific pieces and flip sides and rotate corners and stuff without affecting the rest of the cube. The things come with little instruction books with the moves in them.

But, damn, that's awesome. I can solve one in like, half an hour.

Theres an easy do all algorithm they do in their heads while they're doing that.

It comes down to how good you are mentally at that sorta thing, and how good you are with your hands.

I can solve a rubik's cube (two handed :p) in under two minutes. I don't remember what my best time is.

That is not a staged video, the world record two handed is 10.3 seconds, and I think one handed world record is something like 17 seconds.

Don't be so quick to dismiss it as fake. People can do some pretty amazing things with Rubik's cubes.

My time is at 5 years so far. Not given up yet.
nope.

I gave up long ago. I tried using it as a baseball once. It lasted about as long as my interest in solving it.
