I've been looking into it, and I think I MAY try it. I've reactivated my SWG account and am building up a character. It's been a long while since I've played a good space fighter since I beat Freelancer, so I think I'll give it a spin when it arrives.

Anyway, I played SWG about a month at first, then got pissed off at how boring it was and how repeative, like you guys have said. But, after about a month more, I've come back, and am happy once again. As stated before, I want to fly a freakin' YT-1300!

Or a Z-95 Headhunter.

On one hand:
If all you want to do in SWG is do missions and "Advance" your character ("grind"), than yes, your going to get mad/frustrated/bored of the game and quit.

On the other hand:
If you want to take advantage of the economy system so you can have so much credits you can go anywhere, do anything, and buy anything, then you'll have fun. If you want to get involved in the PvP (Guild Wars or otherwise) than you'll have fun.

It's like choosing between the Blue and Red pill...erm, except with all that wierd psychedelic stuff.

Nope. SWG just has got nothing to do. Right now my character's got every skill I set out to get and want, and I've got more money than I know what to do with, so basically nothing's left for me to do except explore, and that WAS fun when the game first came out (heh, remember those threads I made about my Talus expiditions?) but exploring is just no fun now because there are enough players that have been around long enough that pretty much everything interesting has already been found by somebody and documented enough that everybody knows about it. Plus the introduction of those POI waypoints take alot of the fun out of it, too.

I cancelled my account last week, and I believe it runs out next month.

My guy has 2 costumes, armored pants and jacket for combat (complete with Ray-Ban sunglasses and a beret), and a snappy suit for those casual times just leaping from rooftop to rooftop. My female character sports a tight leather jacket and a mini.
