Horrible movies...
2006-08-26, 8:06 PM #1
which do you think are bad...

personally first and foremost House of the Dead...just awful

and then....

The Last Samurai....

How the hell...can every single samuri, who are all amazing fighters die...MINUS Tom Cruise...the whole field is splattered with bodies...every...single...last samurai dies...EXCEPT Tom Cruise. I remember watching this movie when it first came out and the first thing i said was..."that didnt just happen" I walked over to my friend Johnny and said "OMG that movie is CRAP! Its not even believeable and its got such a "hollywood" ending cuz of Tom Cruise. it would have been better had he died along with the Samurai, but to be the ONLY one who lives...come on!

Well, Cruise was a bad choice for the role of a Samurai. I woulda liked it better if he was replaced by, oh, Bruce Willis or something. ;)

I myself actually enjoyed The Last Samurai.. *shrugs* I thought it was a great movie. House of the Dead though I must agree on lol.
Mmmm.

The Last Samurai was one of the most awesome movies ever made. Tom Cruise did a great job in that. That movie rocked. As for bad movies? The Stepford Wives is close to the worst film I've ever seen. After that, just about every horror movie that's come out in the past 10 years minus Saw, Saw II, Slither, and The Descent.
Think while it's still legal.

Scary Movie 2 was pretty dumb. Maybe Scary Movie 1 wasn't that great to begin with, but 2 was ultimate trash.

I can't remember the last bad movie I saw. Probably Firewall.

I like most movies I see, though. I'm a fan of those movies everyone thinks are cheesy, like Bulletproof Monk. I love that movie.

I tried to watch that once. It didn't do it for me. It's supposed to be very influential to all of film, but it kept making me fall asleep. I also had "The Fast and the Furious" and it... didn't. I actually liked it too because the scenes where the characters were barbequeing or at the restaurant made me hungry. The racing was stupid though. Pressing the nitrous button and going in straight lines is boring. I even saw a GT-R in that movie. WHAT A WASTE.

Napoleon Dynamite. It's one of the few movies that I just couldn't finish (other being Gosford Park, The Mexican, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc.); what makes it the worst is that not only it's a bad movie, it's a bad movie that a billion idiots think was funny and quote all the time.

Comedy option: Snakes on a Plane (haha I'm going to see it again tonight)

Yeah. My friend bought the unMST3K'd version on DVD, but we haven't had the courage to watch it.

Oh, and not a movie, but the Star Wars Holiday Special is atrocious. You can find clips of it on Youtube (don't watch the Princess Leia singing one unless you want to have the Star Wars theme ruined for you forever), but to watch the entire thing straight through is emotionally draining.

For actual Hollywood movies, and not movies financed by fertilizer companies (coughManoscough) or made by Uwe Boll, I'd have to say "The Village". It was boring, predictable, and just not good in any real way.

Hmm, movies I hate? Kanguro Jack. OMG, what a waste of time. I can't believe I saw that movie. It was horrible. TORTURE. I almost felt like getting up and leaving. Almost did in fact.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Manos the Hand of Fate, honestly, it IS painful. I dont know how to get htat point across more clearly haha.

The movie was filmed with a camera that could only record 30 seconds of video... Without audio. So each shot is fairly short. On top of that, they needed to dub voices over each actor. But they couldnt afford 1 voice actor per person... So they hired 2 actors to do the voices of every character in the movie.

Oh, and they couldnt afford to do a title sequence with the actors names

It is funny how that terrible movie got attention on its way to the grave. Unfortunately, the director of that movie has passed away to enjoy this odd fame.

I love -really- bad movies when watched with a group of friends. hell, Dungeons and Dragons was such a good time when we watched it with my band, joking around and drinking white russians.

But for bad movies that aren't good-bad, I'd have to say pretty much any comedy in any way resembling Plump Fiction, Men in White and Scary Movie 2. Also, I find any sport, racing, surfing etc. movie complete ****, the Fast and The Furious being a good example as I'm NOT interested in engine porn and rap.
Yeah, you stay here and take life seriously. I'll go and have some fun.
