Hello, I just downloaded a free game online and it is a RAR file. I don't know how to compress or extract them. Can someone give me some kind of program (Send URL please) that can Unrar the file easily? (Something like the Winzip Wizard)

just click a file, tell it where to unrar, and BAM extract

If you want something simpler than WinRAR (and that isn't shareware), try ExtractNow (search cnet download.com for it). I use it for quick extractions because it's really lightweight and fast.

Nope. Winrar works almost exactly like Winzip though.
Right click the rar select "Extract to [Name of file]" and it will put all the compressed files into a folder named the same as the rar.

hmm. The game I'm downloading is coming in like 5 parts. Am I able to put it in one folder and extract it with that ExtractNow program?

The only way I know how to do that is with winrar. You right click on the first rar and to to extract rar to blah, and it creates a folder right there and stick the contents of all of them in there, assembled.

Yes, it does it for you automatically if you drag them all in at once

TUGZip is the best freeware ZIP utility I've seen. It even supports 7-Zip.

I personally like UltimateZip, but it seems to choke on bigger RAR files.

I have the sneaking suspicion that that game you downloaded wasn't free if it came in 5 parts (most likely .r00, .r01, etc.)
