Anyone here plays in a marching band? I do. Anyone here the drum major? I'm not. I'm an alto sax player.

Drum Corps (International) > Marching band

And yes I marched in my HS band before I graduated, but am now working towards joining a Drum Corps.

Percussion Captain for 2 years. Played Quints for 1, snare for 1, bass for 2.

purely because one of my favourite bands are called Drumcorps and all these sites about real Drum Corps appear whenever i search for them. :)

I did four years of Sousaphone (tuba) in high school, and two in college. That is more than enough for me.

I did marching band in high school. I am a music major in college, but no marching band. Trombone all the way, though!

Personally, I think that if you're in a marching band and you don't play sax or drums, you lose at life.

That being said, I'm the sax section leader for our school's band. We actually don't suck like the ones you see in the movies all the time. Our school hosts FBA every year, the big statewide thing where everyone gets their shows judged. We've gotten straight Superiors for the last 30 years or something.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

drumline captain this year, second year on snare, one year in pit before that. i still have this year and next in highschool, but i'm working toward a drumcore, too. i'm actually trying out for santa clara and the cavaliers this year. wish me luck :P

I marched tenor sax during high school, and I was pretty burnt out by the end. It didn't help that our band directors kept quitting.
