So theres a SW mod for Ev Nova. It comes as a .sit.bin so i spen an hour working with COUNTLESS programs trying to get it to extract! DAMNIT NOTHING ****ING WORKS! :mad:

So which is it? .sit or .bin? Because a .bin can be mounted like a CD-ROM using Alcohol 120% or something similar, and a .sit is a StuffIt compressed file. Download the trial of StuffIt Expander or whatever it's called if you can't get it to decompress using other programs.

You know that there's websites that do nothing but archive file extensions to figure out what you're supposed to do with them, right? GOOGLE

And its both a .sit and a .bin to quote the website.

I know that! But since when has a mod been a cd image? its 14 megs! And stuffit refuses to extract the sit if i remove the .bin and leave [file].sit.

Guys -- .sit.bin is not a CD-image. It's a Mac binary (.bin) file, containing a Stuffit (.sit) file. Stuffit Expander can open it -- it's freeware, found here.

Notice that the most updated files say for PC and MAC .sit with .bin compresion.

Tried that program. And why did you link to the mac page? Although this is supposedly for the pc it has some wierd format.

Why? 'Cause I wasn't thinking when I did. However, that is the only program that you can use to decompress a .sit.bin file.

Odd. I can view the files through Stuffit fine but when i extract them there all 0 bytes...

Dunno what to tell you, there. It should, by all rights, work fine. Maybe re-download the file?

Did you click on the link that is posted under the file you said you're trying to get to work? Unless I am mistaken, there is a link there that takes you to a foum. Within the forum are two files that I think you need, and they are both .zip files. Err, at least, the first one is. I didn't bother checking the second one.
