Silent Hill 2

So, I just finished this game.

Never played any of the others or watched the movie. But I borrowed it from a freind to see what it was like. He said it's the least scary and maybe thats true. It one had a few scary parts but dang it was twisted. And I may be paranoid for a while now (more than usual).

Any one else have thoughts in it?

I bought it. Got to some motel and havent touched it since. It just cant keep my attention.

I've played 2, 3, and 4.

Never could find the first one.

4 is freakin insane.

1 is a classic, its graphics are far outdated but the story and multiple endings rock

Wasn't SH4 not even supposed to be part of the SH series in the beginning? I thought it was going to be a RE game, but they just dropped it in SH and tried to tie it into a story.

considering SH is konami and RE is capcom... i doubt that

maybe they were developing something different then dropped in some silent hill connections and renamed it... but i seriously doubt it was being made as an RE title

Silent Hill 2 is one of my favorite games, or to put it better, one of my favorite stories. As a game, it kinda sucks... the gameplay is lame, fetch-the-item quests, and knowing when to use some mundane item in an obscure place. As a fun game, it doesn't measure up much.

... But as a story, it nearly made me cry at it's conclusion. What ending did you get? I got the Leaving ending, and it really did touch me. It's such an emotional story, and the atmosphere is amazing. Oh my God, the atmosphere! As far as I'm concerned, Silent Hill 2 is proof that games are art.

I've played 2, 3, and 4, and number 2 is my favorite, closely followed by 4. I really, really wish they would've based the movie on Silent Hill 2 instead of a mangled version of the first one. I'm always thinking of film ideas (I've been a video editor for a while), and I always come back to thinking that Silent Hill 2 could make a great, emotional movie (if done right). Don't worry, I'm not going to make a fan film, but I guess you could say it's one of my dreams.

So yeah, I do like Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 1 was ****ing awesome.

Silent Hill 2 was ****ing awesome, with the same gameplay (which got old in that day and age).

I haven't played 3 or 4.

Silent Hill 1 ftw.

I've never played a SH game, good soundtracks though. =\
