It sounds like your parents are dealing with serious problems and you're mad because they're not paying enough attention to you

yeah..I can see how I came across that way. Very easily.

I wasn't mad so much at that, not in any way. I was however, mad at the situation (and just bad ending to a great evening) and concerned as to how my dad was going to turn out, what would happen to my mom in this situation, where I and my brother would go and whatnot.
