So Im curious,

does anyone here follow any "conspiracy" theories such as David Icke, Alex Jones, a la: Bohemian Grove, Illuminati, 9/11, Reptilian agenda?? Here are some examples:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgg67s9NCxg
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=david+icke&search=Search

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bws8rBLGLTQ&mode=related&search=

Ive never been one for conspiracy but I have been watching a lot of David Icke, Alex Jones etc, and frankly, im convinced.

Anyone else out there feel the same on these issues??

Post your thoughts, questions, concerns on conspiracy issues...

We landed on the moon, JFK got shot by Lee Harvey Oswald, and most of what we know about the 9-11 attacks is a lie.

People tend to love the idea of conspiracy theory, because they simply can't face the reality of what happened. For example with JFK, people just don't want to believe one man could inflict that much damage, it had to be a massive government conspiracy. Same thing with 9/11.

People tend to love the idea of conspiracy theories just because the way the conspiracy theory says it happened is a lot cooler than how it really happened.

Yes, because some guys on a stage is WAY cooler than landing on the moon!

The real reason they didn't go to the moon was because THERE'S MOTHER ****ING SNAKES ON THE MOTHER ****ING MOON!

I saw some graffiti today that said "CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON?!"

I wanted to write underneath it "No; care to enlighten us?"

I don't necessarily believe the hardcore 9/11 theories, I will say that the terrorist attacks could not have worked more in bushes favor than any other possible incident.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Nope, I've never seen a conspiracy theory that's more than a bunch of assumptions and trivial facts strung together in the face of common sense and monstrous evidence to the contrary. i.e. they are dumbtarded

ZoSo, I have to ask: After watching the Alex Jones video, did you investigate any of the claims in it? Or did you just take them at face value?

Icke is freaking insane.

Doesn't he claim that Bush and his minions are actually a race of lizard aliens posing as humans?

The trouble with a conspiracy theories, is you get someone who half way studies some thing and spouts out a bunch of biased half truths. Of course it sounds good if you haven't studied it. You just have to think weather it's a) feasible or b) even economical. They'll usually come up with a bunch of half baked "facts" that are easily revealed false by some research that you don't have time to do, but almost always fail on the two previous points. Just because something sounds good at first is no reason to change you opinion, or to even have an opinion on it. Study it out on your own if you care. Don't take crap for some stupid attention monger.

It wasn't that snakes were on the moon. There were just snakes on a spaceship.

(Wow. That would be such a cool sequel.)

Was the plane one good? I think they tried to make it into a serious thriller instead of a dark comedy :(

Yep, but I took care of them with my double barreled shotgun with explosive rounds.

That weapon was so much more fun to kill people with than the rocket launcher. I was sad when it was removed in one of the later versions.

Why haven't we found other planets with life?

Why is America so disliked?

Why we've had every war and other conflict on our planet?

Why do bad things happen in your life?

Why does anti-semitism exist?

It's all work by the Intergalactic Zionist League.

That's right.

Whatever happens, it goes back to the IZL in one way or the other.

thats partially true, but at the same time I think that people want to just believe what who we look to as authority figures aren't lying to us.

I know I shouldn't try to get into an intelligent discussion about any issue on these forums so I should stop here, hah

Yes. Questioning authority and government is not a bad thing.

But what conspiracies do is not just question but tend to warp facts. Everyone loves a good mystery story.
