Herro to all.

I'm in my new house now, its big, living with 3 other blokes, 2 are games designers*.

£480 a month, including all bills, right next to town of Guildford, not bad.

I work in a cool posh place, Cameron Diaz has apparently come in last christmas, and loads of other rich and well known people pass by daily (Hugh Grants wife came in today, i was like... wtf mate)

Stargate mod is still moving along, oh and btw, the sg1 series has been cancelled after series 10, but i dont mind.

*As i said, i'm living with 2 Games designers, and they're gonna set up an interview with EA games. Dunno what will happen, i'm in no rush to be a real games designer, i wanna be a student again.

Oh and i'm gonna meet up with an agent in London in a few months cos he wants to discuss my music :)

Oh, and yes I'm still with Tor, although I'm having problems with other girls.... i dont react well to temptation if you get my meaning.

So things are cool.

How are you guys doing?

Is Zuljin out of jail yet?

Has Zloc grown any hair in strange places? (haha no wai!)

All the best! :D

Naw, can't be the real Ruthven; he hasn't posted in the Camhoez thread yet!

Btw, £480 per month!? That's crazy home counties prices I guess, I'm spending £225 per month in Nottingham (admittedly it's in the inner-city and it's probably a hole by most folks' standards).
2006-09-08, 5:45 PM #13
Given what he wrote, that would include utilities and so on as well.

You spend less because of the Robin Hood Real Estate Subsidy plan.

And I think you probably missed it, but recently there's been more going on than hair growing :ninja:

Well, we only make the posters and other advertising stuff for EA Germany, but the colleagues who are invloved in this are often on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
But I was told that the EA-party at the Games Convention was great.
Sorry for the lousy German

jesus christ dude.

even for a whole house in a nice neighborhood, 600$US/month is a lot. generally the ones around here, unless they're freakin HUGE houses, they're only 350-400/month

but good luck on the interview, and i hope you know plenty of ways to reduce stress(not including banging girls other than your g/f, cos that would be bad, mm'kay?) like excessive drinking and stuff.

also, invent a good hangover cure.

also, also, welcome back.

$600/m for a townhouse is cheap around here (Well, where my family lives.)

We own some townhouses and charge around $1000/m, and that's cheaper than most others in the area.

$800-$900 is pretty much the average here in Hawaii. But everything is expensive here.

In Columbia, we've got a 4-bedroom house - ends up being $800 in rent, about $400 for utilities & cable.

You've obviously never been to London.
nope.
2006-09-09, 4:46 PM #29
Well I pay £225 per month for rent and water bills are included in that.
Gas and electricity I pay for as an equal share with my housemates, which judging by last year's amounts should work out this year at roughly £30 per month. We're students too so we don't pay council tax; that probably accounts for a large part of the cheapness. I'm paying for a small victorian-era terraced house sharing with 3 other people in one of the most burgled parts of Nottingham which is in the relatively unglamorous Midlands which also helps keep prices down :P
