Hmm, Clone War novels.....

I dunno if anyone noticed, but I was looking at some new star war novels, and i noticed that just about every frigging single novels prior or during the clone wars ALL HAS Ankin skywalker and obiwan.... and that made me go wtf....

Main reason why I noticed was I found the novel "Outbound" by timothy zhan, and I knew from the Grand Admiral Thrawn books that he wrote he would probably be a good author to read. Then I read the summarization and it said, "ankin and obiwan" in it, and i'm like jesus what the hell is going on, everything prior to like ep 4 all have ankin/obiwan in it. Comeon people! theyre not gods, they shouldn't be in every single novels, they should not be in every single adventure, every frigging thing!

Since the story primarily revolves around Anakin, and Luke, Obi Wan should be included too since he helped them both.
Nothing to see here, move along.

The character of C'boath was originally going to be an Obi-clone, but GL said no to Zahn, so I think them being in there is a homage/character developement area for Anakin thing.

The prequel-era books revolve around those two because the freaking movies themselves revolve around the Skywalker line and there is alot of backstory to the movies, little injokes and such that are found in the books

So you want nice Clone War books without Anakin or Obi-Wan?

I liked the Medstar books, consisting of Battle Surgeons and Jedi Healer. The books focus less on action and more on the characters. A nice change from the other Star Wars books.

Then there are the Republic Commando books. Before I read the first book I thought "OK, it's a Star Wars book. Those aren't always the best literarical works you can find. But it's also a book based on a computer game, so it must surely suck."
I was wrong. The books are well written and give a nice insight to what goes on in the minds of the Clone soldiers, but also how the Jedi view them.

Then there is the book Dark Rendezvous, that focuses on Yoda and two padawans. There were some nice things, but nothing special.

I can't remember any more at the moment.
