So I'm thinking of being stupid and making a video of myself singing at least one song, perhaps more, for all to see -- I may also simply make some mp3's of me singing as well. Since I'd prefer to sing something you all would like to hear (and something I can sing), I'd much appreciate it if you all could make at least one request from the songs below for me to sing:

GROUP 1
Jesus Christ Superstar - "Heaven On Their Minds"
Vertical Horizon - "Everything You Want"
America - "Sister Golden Hair"
America - "Only In Your Heart"
The Verve Pipe - "Freshmen"
Jesus Christ Superstar - "Gesthemene"
Moulin Rouge - "Your Song"
The Neverending Story soundtrack - "The Neverending Story" theme
Disturbed - "Darkness"

GROUP 2
The Nightmare Before Christmas - "Jack's Lament"
America (from "The Last Unicorn" soundtrack) - "The Last Unicorn"
Man of La Mancha - "The Impossible Dream"
Simon and Garfunkle - "The Sound of Silence"
Cold - "Whatever You Became"
Cold - "Cure My Tragedy"
R.E.M. - "Losing My Religon"
Go West - "King of Wishful Thinking"
Incubus - "Pardon Me (acoustic version)"
Counting Crows - "Colorblind"
LotR: The Two Towers soundtrack - "Gollum's Song"
The Nightmare Before Christmas - "What's This?"
The Last Five Years - "The Schmuel Song"
Man of La Mancha - "Dulcinea"
Cold - "No One"
Cold - "Rain Song"
Evanescence - "Hello"
The Beatles - "Yesterday"
Simon and Garfunkle - "I am a Rock"
Simon and Garfunkle - "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
LotR: The Return of the King soundtrack - "Into the West"

GROUP 3
Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - "Out There"
Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - "God Help the Outcasts"
Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - "Hellfire"
Counting Crows - "Round Here"
Avenue Q - (not sure yet)
Scarlet Pimpernel - (not sure)
Notre Dame de Paris - (not sure)

You may have noticed that groups 1 and 2 are familiar - they're from a couple of mix tapes I have, though not all the songs on my tape are on the list here either because they really require two people to sing or isn't appropriate for Massassi. The groups are in order of how much I've sung them - I've sung group one pretty regularly for over 9 months now, the second group for 2-4 months, and the last group I'm just trying now.

Out of group 1, I could probably sing "Gesthemene" and "Darkness" the best. I could be wrong.

Out of group 2, I could probably sing "Jack's Lament," "The Impossible Dream," "Pardon Me," and "Dulcinea" the best. Again, I could be wrong.

Out of group 3, I don't know. I still need to check to see which Avenue Q songs could be sung, and uh... I still need a copy of Scarlet Pimpernel and the other one first before I can determine about their status. I just figured I'd put them down for fun.

If there's a song NOT on this list that you would like to hear me sing, I will consider it and maybe PM you or the like about it. I'd make this into a poll, but not only are there a lot of options, but I want you all able to be able to chose more than just one. I'd like to take a stab at making the video sometime this week (most likely on Thursday), so please make your requests ASAP! Depending on how things go, I may make a "finalists" thread with a poll. We'll see.

List of current requests:
"Your Song" - 4
"Yesterday" - 3
"Losing My Religon" - 2
"Heaven On Their Minds" - 2
"Jack's Lament" - 1
*"Sweet Charity" - 1
"Gollum's Song" - 1
"You Are a Pirate" - 3
"The Impossible Dream" - 2
"Octopus's Garden" - 1
"The Neverending Story theme" - 1
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" - 1
"Round Here" - 1

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, to make this thread less selfish, if anyone else would wish to do their own "chose my song" dealie, feel free to use this thread to do so. :)

"Jesus Christ Superstar - "Gesthemene""

Is that anything like Nightwish - Gesthemene? If it is, then do that one.
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

I know of Nightwish, and they are awesome (though I do not know the song in particular), and Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera created by Andrew Llyod Webber, so it MIGHT be similar. I doubt it though.

R.E.M. - "Losing My Religon"

It has to be a video. And you have to dance.

"Heaven On Their Minds" or "Your Song"

I think I'm leaning more towards "Your Song" though.

I should remind everyone that I'm not necessarily singing whatever gets the most votes.
