MOTS is an expansion pack to Jedi Knight, there is no legal way to defuse the CD check.

MotS is completely stand-alone, except for the CD check. A more correct term would be 'companion missions.'

There's no legal way to hack JK.exe to pieces either, but that doesn't seem to stop anyone.

Let them use yours? If your "friend" isn't going to go the legal route and just purchase the game, why not just download the game? 2 wrongs make a right.

I don't think there's a way to get past the CD Check when you install MotS. At least I'm pretty sure there isn't.
