Best Multiplayer 16-bit maps for JK?
2006-09-20, 1:18 PM #1
Okay, so we're doing a old school games LAN party and one of the games we'll be playing is Jedi Knight. But I don't want to play with the old maps, I want to use those sexy lookin maps with 16-bit textures and whatnot I've been seeing in the Showcase forum.

So what do you recommend?

And what do you recommend in the way of weapon mods? Anything new worth mentioning? I haven't been around in a few years.

KTHXBYE! :ninja:

Doom coop and Duke Nukem 3d coop are the only oldskool lan experiences anyone should require.

Yes.

Also: DooM 2 Co-op and Serious Sam Co-op are pretty insane. I suggest playing those.

I'm pretty sure Area 21 is the best multiplayer map ever made for any game ever.

Yeah, whatever happened to Flexor anyway? I still listen to the cool ambient music he made occationally. Last I remember he was posting about how depressed he was all the time

Yeah I remember that map. But Jedi Knight doesn't support enough players to make that map fun. I don't want to spend 5 minutes trying to find someone to kill.

I'm looking for maps more along the lines of Higher Ground. Something a bit open, not overly complicated. Just good ol DM.

JK supports 32 players. Is that not enough with 21 areas?

32 is nice and all, but what about the game's poor netcode? Even at LANs?

How about try the MLPs and Hub packs?

Yeah... what he said. This is why the Zone limited you to 4 players per a game.

I'd recommend playing Jedi Knight Arena whether it's 16-bit or not.

halucid's Mobius Grith is pretty sextacular, but you need all the adjoin remover patches and stuff.
