Dear lord, that is scary. Religious fundamentalists creep me right the **** out.

Poor kids never had a chance though; they're brainwashed from birth. The people doing this are no better than the Islamic fundamentalists, as far as training their children to hate. Because that's what this is about. And they call it "love". 1984 called, it wants its irony back.

I think so. :(

And it's a shame, because when they got older I'd probably bang both of them.

i would watch this movie. to laugh at small children.

from the looks of it, its not a propaganda movie, its giving the same opinion shared here.

Does it surprise you that this exists? I doubt it.

I was raised in a Pentecostal cult which is very similar to what you see in that film. While many of us find our way out, there will always be residue from our brainwashing.

I don't even have to make fun of you for that.

You've effectively bashed yourself. I call for a ban. If I can't bash you, why should you get to bash yourself?

I love how this trailer has no message. At the end when the lady's going "This means war! This means war!", I'm thinking to myself, "What means war?"

I was humming a song when I clicked on that link. I didn't know what it was. Then I saw the title at the top of the Firefox window. I stopped humming before I realized I was doing it. Then I closed the window.

I can't stand it when these fundamentalist idiots try to shove Christianity down people's throats like they (christians) are the only important human beings on earth.

Don't get me wrong; I am a devoted follower of God, but these people just embarrass the CRAP outta me. They misrepresent Christianity and how it is supposed to be shared.

Best use of the Crossbuster ever.

I'm not sure if I can watch that, because I grew up with quite a few kids who turned out that way. Hell, I'm surprised I didn't. Though I suppose the church I attended was really fairly tame when compared to others I've seen and read about. Nobody's tried to 'intervene' and deprogram me, at least.
2006-09-23, 11:57 AM #34
I see very little wrong with that movie, if anything.

Those children are moved by God in a powerful way, and I honestly think that is a good thing. They are more radical and loud than I would ever be, but just from that trailer I can't condemn them.

Right on.
2006-09-23, 12:02 PM #35
No one is condemning he kids. They don't know any better. It's the brainwash tactics used by the Christian Fundamentalists that people take issue with.

Yes. This is true. Few things agravate me as much as people being brainwashed to a point where logic fails to mean anything, and truth gets lost in what someone has said rather than how something really is.

But why not let them discover their faith on their own? It seems like their beliefs were drilled in, and they are repeating what adults have been telling them instead of them following what they find true.

Some people are just stupid. They can't think for themselves. To function, they must be trained in some way. I'd rather they were brainwashed by the Bible than by The Alphabet of Manliness. (Unless they are female.)

Of course there's really no way to know that when you start when a kid is 5.

I think that clip provides substantial evidence that god is a myth. I mean if he was real, why would he save someone only to go on letting them think mullets are ok?
