Pikachu sucked anyway.
First time I played, I went Bulbasaur, but I changed my mind about a third of the way in and went squirtle. Blastoise is just awesome.

Charmander. Mainly because Charizard (I think?) looked so badass.

I don't know. I think I went with Squirtle, but I may have gone with Charmander because I was stupid.

I dunno, man. Blastoise did have the cannons built into his shell, but Charizard was a huge ****ing dragon with a flaming tail. You don't get much more badass than that.

Meh, he looked like a dragon, but not a bad-*** dragon. And I wasn't even thinking of the cannons, I reckon he'd look more badass without them.

Eh, to each his own I suppose. I should really dig around and find my copy of Pokemon Blue. It's probably been a good five years since I've even seen it. Hopefully my savegame is still intact.

I owned blue too. I got rid of it ages ago.
Which I'm regretting now that I have a ds and pokemon emerald.
I would have loved to at least get the Mew's. I had two Mew's for hm's and one Mew for fighting.

I think the first time around I picked squirtle, because it was common knowlege in my little 4th grade (?) clique that squirtle was the best starting pokemon. I ended up getting both Red and Blue though, so I think I chose bulbasaur for the other one.

I've picked up all of those at one point or the other, but I remember choosing Charmander many times.

Never played the game? I'd recommend trying it. It's a decent rpg, though storyline-wise it is pretty lame.
Don't let the cartoon or the fad's reputation keep you from trying it out ;)

Squirtle, 'cause Wartortle looked funky. But oftentimes I chose Bulbasaur for general crushiness against Brock and Misty. And Lt. Surge.

I chose Squirtle the first time, because I had Blue and thought Blastoise looked cool. Squirtle was awesome for getting through all the Mt. Moon battles.

Bulbasaur was the easiest starter, then squirtle, with charmander being the toughest.

I took squirtle first time because.... i dont know why.

My first play through I went squirtle, then charmander, then bulbasaur.

For silver / gold I went that fire dude first, then the water one, and I didn't play it again for the leaf one.

Whoa, Bulbasaur is really unpopular! He wasn't my first choice (Squirtle was) but he became my favorite after a while.

Oh yeah, wait, I did choose bulbasaur, for the same reason as spe

I don't think I ever got my starter pokemon up to their full evolutions tho .. I was one of those ppl that discarded all other pokemon in favor for articuno/moltres/zapdos/mewtwo/mew (gamesharked!)/I forgot who my last one was

I had a bulbasaur that I used until I got the MISSINGNO spot, then I duplicated the Masterball and caught like a bunch of crazy pokemon to use >.>

I caught a MISSINGNO (or something at that spot) and my game was reset the next time I turned it on :psyduck:
