Well, it looks a lot better than old rechargable batteries. Blasted, crappy batteries start to leak after recharging.

Slashdot ripped them to shreds... for one thing the batteries take an insane amount of time to charge, they might not output enough power for some devices (not sure about this), etc. The price sucks (US$25 PER TWO BATTERIES!!!!), you could buy a USB rechargeable battery charger, and charge four rechargeable at once on one outlet faster, and it would cost less.

Still they LOOK nifty. Meh.

The AAA one is pretty clever how they have the USB port fold up.

Summary:
WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GOING TO PAY $25 FOR TWO FIRGGIN DOUBLE-As?!?!:psyduck:

Yes there is.

You see, my room and board covers electricity. But it's a static, per-semester value. Electricity is included and the charge does not change.

Now for a math proof that electricity is free for me.

C = Cost of room and board this semester, not counting electricity.
E = Jiggawatts consumed this semester.
X = Cost of a jiggawatt!

So: F(X) = C + EX

Now, the cost is the same whether or not I consume 1 jiggawatt or 2. So:

C + X = C + 2X

Subtract C from both sides:

X = 2X

Subtract X from both sides:

X = 0

Thus, energy is free for me.
