All the time I was playing Halo, I kept thinking to myself:
"Man! This would make a cool RTS!". I wonder if this is what I was expecting.

Play Battle For Middle-Earth 2 on the 360. It was done incredibly well, the only complaint about it that I have is that there's nothing I can complain about.

I think it has a good chance of being a great game. Console makes it iffy, but Ensamble Studios makes great RTS games, if you ignore Age of Mythology.

Probably be crap, and the DS' screen is far too small for an RTS of any scope (and too low-res). The Rev...maybe. Maybe. That's a big maybe depending on how the revmote works out.

Yeah... Compared to a mouse w/hotkeys, it'll still be severely handicapped even if the interface inst totally painful.

Yes, BFME was good on the xbox... but not compared to the PC version.

It can be fun, but it can't be perfected. Same as with analog sticks vs mouse. Yes, you can be very very good with it, but there's physical limitations you just can't get over which make it harder to get as good as someone on PC could with the same setup, and even if you do get that good, it's even harder to progress further. Note how most people in Halo 2 are good because of the exploits in the game, and Q3/UT2k4/Painkiller/Doom 3 type weapon camping. People in CS:S and other such games are good just because of their skill level.

Nothing against people who play console games professionally, some of them can be done (with ease), but there's still those limitations.
