187.5 days... that's how long it would take if you afked in a server that had no map rotation or anything that autoswitched you to another team

and no other events could happen that would interrupt your afk time

technically that is against the rules and they could take your points away.

That's just for some perspective. I bet there are people out there who have the award too.

So what do you get with that award? A better gun? 4500 hours of play time for a better gun?
DO NOT WANT.

What's so bad about 4500 hours required for a reward. For once, everyone and his cat won't have it.

Eh. I've played like 800 hours of Warcraft 3 in a year and a half's time. I dunno, it'd take time for sure, but it wouldn't be undoable. I know a lot of people who play a LOT more warcraft 3 than I do.

Hell, if you play it like some people play WoW I'm sure it'd be easy. I know a guy who got over 1200 hours of playing WoW in a year. The catch? He only played for 6 months out of that year.

XFire ftw.

4500 hours is over two work years (40hr/week, 50week/yr)! That's a ridiculous amount of playing..

I don't think you get anything except the award. I could be wrong, though.

That isn't an award for anything more than logged play. That's not a very good system. an insane KDR (With a minimum kill requirement) award would be more worthwhile.

Theres no real rewards for it either. OOH LOOK I GOT A DIGITAL BADGE!

The real rewards things are gained through ranks that are gained simply by gaining a certain amount of points. On ascending to a higher rank you are allowed to pick a new weapon, or 2 if you have SF installed.
nope.

Thats pretty much why I've given up BF2 and MMORPGs. Wait... I'm busting my *** for rewards that are uterly useless and will advance me in no manner in real life.

Grand Marshal / High Warlord in WoW anyone?

You basically have to play 12-16 hours of PVP a day for a month.

Yeah, they put these awards in for the most hardcore of hardcore, luckily, we aren't them. Play the game for fun, realize you'll never get those things, and move on.

I also have to say that getting the best gear in WoW requires no massive time commitment, since some people were saying otherwise. I play 6-10 hours a week, maybe, and I'm quickly becoming one of the best geared priests on my server. I play for fun, I may not have the "rep reward of grinding +2", but I'm OK with that. You just have to find a balance when you play, and make sure you're enjoying what you're doing.
