I had some strawberries at lunch today, and it reminded me of just how ridiculously awesome strawberries are. So yeah... post your strawberry-related experiences!

I don't get the big fascination with strawberries. I don't find them sweet at all, unless they're absolutely covered in cream and/or sugar. Which kind of ruins the point.

Good, ripe strawberries are naturally very sweet and don't need any sugar. I love summer just because I can eat fresh strawberries as often as I want. :D

Strange thing is, I don't like anything that's strawberry flavoured. I think that's mainly because no artificial flavour quite captures that unbeatable taste of real fresh strawberries. It's just very different.

Strawberries are hellspawn. I worked at a berry farm one year. It was hot, unrewarding work. On my last day, it was the hottest day of the summer, I was the only one who came in, had to manage the field and pick, and they had 2 store orders to fill. The only way strawberries could redeem themselves is if I had an Avenger-like experience with them :P .

Strawberries are great, so are raspberries and blackberries. Homemade blackberry pie from the blackberry bushes in my yard = complete awesome.
