Yeah, I figured you kind of felt that way. Most teens do. It usually starts with the whole trying to act more mature than older people to impress everyone bit. You still do that part though. I'm not trying to put you down, most people do this stuff when they are younger. I even did that a few years ago. What sucks the most is that you really can't win until you just grow out of it. You can argue that you aren't acting mature, and that you really are, but it's a filthy lie until you actually act mature without meaning to do it, and you stop actually telling people how mature you are. Not just you, I mean young kids in general.
I suck at explaining things, so I must sound like a jerk, but I'm not trying to be. I remember when I was around 12 or 13 on the forums and I'd try to post all these mature things because everyone else was 5 years older than me, and I'd almost never make a joke or anything. Then every once and a while I'd act like myself and I'd make that stupid joke and then everyone would point out 'You acted so mature, but we know your just trying because *points to stupid joke*'. This sounds stupid, but if you are a naturally goofy kid, just act goofy. By being yourself you seem more mature even if you're acting less mature. (I know it doesn't seem like it makes sense, but it does in my head >.<)
As for your parents being morons...It gets to the point where you realize your parents are most likely right but you still want to do stuff against what they say anyway. That's the step after 'My parents are dumb', it's 'My parents might not be dumb, but just incase...' which will soon turn into 'Damn...who would have thought my parents were right?' Even though it is possible that a teenager could be smarter than their parents, it usually isn't the case. For example, I always bust up my mom because she always uses words incorrectly...and then I realize that she has her masters in math and science and I skip by math class with C's >.<
I'm pretty sure I took this silly thread too serious, but meh. Oh well.
And of course SAJN would respond with a freakin NOVEL.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.
