Chasing minutmen from columbia university is 'free speech'?

Of course not. He'd be making the most noise about it being an atrocity and a violation of their rights, etc, etc. It's a two way street, which is something all extremists fail and refuse to understand or accept.

I disagree, and I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Hey, Avenger! Thanks for telling me what I think! I like how I was attacked for referring to racism as an extremist view, then told I'm an extremist.

If you actually read what I wrote, I already said that I thought that the Chicano Caucus' actions were over-the-top, inappropriate, and disruptive, and that I support the rights of unpopular speech.

I also already acknowledged that I'd forgetten to consider the private protest versus public protest situation.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't put words in my mouth, Avenger.

Too common to be extreme? Hell no. If theres ten-million people that think it's ok to tear the skin of your flesh and then rape you till you die... it's still extreme.
You can't judge a book by it's file size

Well, if extreme means extreme by the norms of society, then no, that isn't extremist. Of course it's still insane.

Please note that Avenger did not call you an extremist. He did, however, predict your reaction, and then make a statement about extremists. If you wish to connect the statements in some way such that they both refer to you, you may.

Deadman, Emon: What, then, is extreme? It is undefinable. The label is meaningless.

I didn't mean to put any word in your mouth. I was making a prediction based on what I've read in this thread in that you reacted pretty strongly to the Minutemen group from the start, that they shouldn't be allowed to speak on a college campus, which is not the real issue at hand. Persnonal opionions about either group involved should have no impact on the matter as it relates to the action of disrupting a group's right to speak. For all I care, it could have been Purple Monkey hunters disrupting a speech by anti-hunting activists.
