i've been bored lately. dont feel like reinstalling anything, got a little extra cash lying around, thinking about getting a new game. so whats new and good?

i play mostly single player, not a big fan of RTSes, and prefer an involving story. not really looking for fragfests, just a good plot, with some action to keep things interesting.

Company of Heroes.

You don't need to like RTS games. It doesn't matter what you like, this game is awesome no matter what.

Baldur's Gate II has a good story.

As for immersian, Dues Ex is good. Oblivion is OK, but gets boring fast.

i've wanted to play BGII for a while but havent seen it anywhere.

i guess i should have stated that i've already beaten Deus Ex multiple ways, and oblivion has already got boring.

If you're up to the task, here's a few classics that you should give a go.

Master of Orion 1 and 2 are both very god TBS games

X-Wing Alliance is, obviously, a space sim with a decent story. Pretty fun.

Rise of Legends, although an RTS, is probably the better of the new RTS games out there.

Or you can listen to the new Rhapsody of Fire album over and over again.
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

"Oh."

Oblivion with a mod called Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. 110% different game. Literally every single game mechanic has been redone. AKA. No more stupid leveled world. 100's of new weapons, 40+ full armour sets, 50+ new creatures and NPCs.

Best mod ever made, no question.

Whoah, that sounds pretty cool, actually. I'm not really a fan of Oblivion but I think I might check this out.

Stubbs the Zombie is pretty good, if you like games set in a world that resembles what people in the 1950's thought today would be like, where you command an undead legion that grows with every person you kill by throwing your exploding spleen or head at, while listening to a great soundtrack of covers of hit oldies and trying to get revenge on the man who stole your girlfriend (wife?) by chasing them in a hovercraft that shoots giants balls of fertilizer.

The dance sequences are pretty hard though.
