This thread amuses me. Jon'C is particurally entertaining.

No, you've just been brainwashed by the media to single out Fox News and the republicans.

But don't try to change the subject either. This IS NOT just about republicans. Now, you should at least admit the guilt of the democrats taking similar measures.

Well, over here in the Netherlands we have CNN, ABC and, since a few months, we're able to receive Fox as well.

I watched Fox (without knowing anything whatsoever about it) and was astounded by what I saw. I thought we had 'coloured' media here as well, untill I watched Fox. I realize now what you guys are talking about.

Never seen anything like that before.... it's incredibly obvious how they're trying to colour the news. Just the way the reporters present certain topics... I was astounded. They are like the definition of biased media. It's almost as if they're on the payroll of the government. This coming from an outside observer to American media.

See? IRG SithLord is clearly the master of effective debate. You can tell how correct his opinion is by how often he says that I'm weakminded and how I'm incapable of forming my own opinion. But really the best proof of his genetic and moral superiority is how he provides absolutely no evidence or references for his false opinions. We should all hail him as king.

Hint: Fox News is the media, IRG SithLord. But I can understand how you might be confused since they certainly don't act like it. I might argue that I'm not the one who has been brainwashed here, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't understand what I was talking about.

1.) Yes it is just about the republicans.
2.) No, because they don't do similar things and I've never seen them do similar things. I still remember when Clinton bombed Al Qaeda camps during his last year as president, and all of the republicans and republican-sponsored media pulling their snow job and saying "Hurr he's only doing it to distract us from Monica Lewinsky!". Name one time the democrats have done anything like this. The burden of proof is on you to cite specific examples.
3.) I've been brainwashed, so make sure you dumb your argument down for me and all of the poor fools who don't have a chance to watch FOX NEWS every night. Although I fully expect you to use the patented O'REILLY FACTOR DEBATE STRATEGY of "Personal attack, obviously false statement, personal attack, ignore thread until people forget that I'm vapid".
The democrats have been caught with their pants down multiple times too. The bad part is they were defended by their fellow democrats and didn't even have the decency to resign.
But, Moooooom! They started it!

It's amazing that they made the same typo at least three seperate times.

I don't know about the instant messages, but I do know that the scandal was originally triggered by the release of Foley's suspicious e-mails by a longtime Republican. There goes the conspiracy theory.

Well I'd agree with that on the D-FL part but in subsequent repeats of the O'Reilly factor where the original goof took place, they removed the entire bar with Foley's name and the offending D. It seems to me that what they should have done was replace the D with an R and all would be fine - "Sorry guys, honest mistake, it's corrected now!".
So now you have to ask, why was it important to have Foley's party affiliation on screen when he was made out to be a Democrat but when it was clear he was a Republican it wasn't so important to identify his party?

I would think you're more than capable of doing the research. You certainly have no trouble doing it to target Fox news and the republicans.

I don't watch televised media. ALL of them release bull****.

Firstly, I respect Clinton for the bombings and don't think it was a scandal to distract people. I clearly remember Clinton making a retaliation for the attempt/plans to assassinate Bush, Sr.

Look up Mel Reynolds, Barney Frank, and Gerry Studds -- just to name a few.

As I've said, I've watched them all and don't watch them anymore. Stop trying to portray me as a republican. I simply think that you are only making an effort to attack republicans rather than both sides -- and they BOTH have their scandals.

That's just stupid dude. Don't tell other people to research your own position for you.

Besides this thread is about making fun of their funny mistake, not about how much you respect Clinton for blowing people up :P

Well, it's more so to expect people to know both sides before charging into a debate. I am well aware and acknowledge most of Jon's claims about the republicans and Fox. A few years ago, I was different in that respect and probably would have fought him to the death over them. :P

The first I heard of this scandal, it was on FARK and I swear it read "Mick Foley," so I didn't pay attention to it for some time.

Fox is probably the worst. There are plenty of others that are biased, yes, but not nearly as bad. There is no single best broadcast news source. If you want less biased world news, maybe check out BBC or something.
