I usually drink a gallon of water a day, accompanied by an enormous amount of protein....wasn't too good today and drank most of a 32oz Pepsi -- it's 1:43am and I'm still wide awake. :(
woot!

32 oz? LOL. I can drink truckloads of Pepsi and I've never noticed one thing different about myself.

I honestly drink probably gallons of pop a day and it doesn't really affect me. I can usually go to bed anytime I want after 12, though I tend to stay up for different reasons.

I just drink water and Coke/Pepsi nowadays.

Never so much that I could stay awake for millions of hours, sleeping is so fun.

hence the title "I'm not used to caffiene"

If you smoke dope all the time, then you will need to smoke more and more to have the effect your striving for.

Exactly. You're not going to notice the effect when you drink a lot. I barely ever drink anything with caffine, so when I drink a lot, I'm totally wired.

Yeah - I used to drink a lot of Pepsi/Mt. Dew, and it hardly affected me..could watch a movie with a Pepsi and go to bed. Now? I dunno..heh..back to water for me, I think.

It kind of threw me off initially, thought there was an S on the end of "like" which made it self referential and totally random.

For some reason, I read it the exact same way at first. Perhaps because I assumed that... :v:

I've never experienced this caffeiene hyper-state that everyone seems to claim they get from MD. I could drink a Mountain Dew and 5 minutes later be sound asleep.

I've also never drunk energy drinks, so I've never ever experienced a caffeine buzz or whatever you call it.
I had a blog. It sucked.

I remember when I quit soda, and cut down on sugar intake.

Holy crap I felt great! But then I eased out of it for whatever reason.

Oh, and if you think thats energy, you haven't tried energy drinks that only have assloads of vitamin B.

If you really drink anything close to a gallon of pop a day you're gonna be in for the shock of your life down the road. Drinking that much daily is just asking for major stomach problems (like my grandmother has, from drinking diet coke all the time)

Sometimes I drink a lot of Coke in one sitting, but it's generally mixed with rum, so I really don't get wired at all.

Yes indeed. Wow, even just one gallon is like drinking 10+ cans of soda each day, or on average 1400 calories and over 400 grams of sugar. That's nearly a pound of sugar and over half your total daily recommended calorie intake in liquid form.

Enjoy your diabetes.

Diet soda causes gastro-intestinal problems because of the asparthame it contains, regular pop just causes it because of the acid. I maintain that I have a gastro-intestinal tract of galvanized steel.

But seriously, I drink like...10 22oz cups of soda a day at work, then a 32oz one when I come home, then a couple glasses.

I've been known to drink 2 2 liters a day, and even 2 3 liters depending.

I drink ungodly amounts of pop.

You can usually achieve a greater 'buzz' feeling with niacin than with caffiene. Niacin directly effects brain chemical transmission, rather than just stimulating a sugar high. It also does not have nearly as bad of a crash. Niacin is the substance in drinks like RedBull and many green teas that make them so effective. RedBull in particular combines it with caffiene and sugar for a nice triple nockout punch.

The caffeine is what makes me avoid conventional energy drinks. Thyroid problems aren't my idea of fun.

Niacin is great, until you get too much and have a niacin rush. (Your face turns beat red and heats up like a frying pan for about 5-10 minutes from the increased blood flow)

Keeping yourself topped off on Vitamin B is the way to go. You can't overdose in Vitamin B, because whatever you don't use you just piss right out. And as far as I know it doesn't have any adverse effects on your body.

I used to stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning with a friend watching movies. Between the two of us, we would drink about a 24 pack of Mountain Dew every night. I never had trouble falling asleep afterwords.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
