When you put it in context with "think the price for what it specifically does as a video games machine is a bit pricey..." it makes a bit more sense and seems less hypocritical to me, but I dunno.

Well, I consider it a BAD thing that with pretty much any bit of news on the PS3, I keep being reminded of this comic.

Yes, the PS3 may have more capabilites than the Wii, (or the Xbox 360) but whether the Blu-Ray drive thing is even an asset will depend on how well the format's adapted... It's not just getting players out there into the market, (the shortage of PS3's ain't helping, either) but also getting studios to release in that format.
