Good N64 games
2006-10-14, 11:05 AM #1
So I just got a cheap N64 with 3 controllers, Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Lylat Wars & Ocarina of Time.

Much obliged if you folk could throw together a list of sweet games I could get, a good beat em up would be lovely. I was thinking Smash Bros but more of em would be a nice thing indeed. General awesome multiplayer games are also a bonus.

Cheers.

(Also before anyone suggests Starfox 64... Lylat Wars is the EU name for it :v: )

The N64 games I have:
  • 1080° Snowboarding
  • Conker's Bad Fur Day
  • F-Zero X
  • GameShark Pro (allows to alter/enhance/cheat in games)
  • Goldeneye 007
  • Legend of Zelda, The: Majora's Mask
  • Legend of Zelda, The: Ocarina of Time
  • Mario Kart 64
  • Mario Tennis
  • Paper Mario
  • Perfect Dark
  • Pokemon Puzzle League
  • San Fransisco Rush 2049
  • San Fransisco Rush: Extreme Racing
  • Starfox 64
  • Super Mario 64

The only thing from that list I might not suggest getting is 1080. I'd highly suggest F-Zero, Mario Tennis and Rush: 2049 (among ones already mentioned like MarioKart and Conker). If you like puzzle games at all and can get past a Pokemon look, PP League is awesome (it's Tetris Attack w/Pokemon).

I'd say Harvest Moon 64, but good luck finding it. I had to pay 100 bucks for it new and sealed.

Definately get Super Smash Bros, Conker's, and Mario Kart.

Who cares about the other games, it'll be a long while before you get bored of Goldeneye.

Or rather, one of the ISS games if you like Football.

Add Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie and Pilotwings 64 to what you already have and you have all the great games.

o_O I thought bomberman was one of those games that EVERYBODY loved. Even non-gamers love bomberman.
How can you not love bomberman? It's bomberman!

It was stupid. Stupid storyline, stupid levels, stupid hard to predict circular blast radius for the bombs.

Oh I see, you sucked at it :p

And who buys bomberman for the single player anyway?

bomberman 64 2: the second attack singleplayer was awesome (and is where my name comes from)

actually bomberman 64 singleplayer was pretty awesome too. The bomb-bouncing puzzles and such.

Anyways, I liked Majora's mask, although a lot of other people didn't
Perfect Dark, Mario 64, Mario Party 2, Mario Kart, PAPER MARIO.. wow I just noticed these are all mario games hahah

I liked MK trilogy but that's like early early early N64 and more like a SNES game

Hmm
Jet Force Gemini! Anyone remember that game?

Banjo-Kazooie you might like, though I hated it

Oh yeah, THPS, THPS2 .. 1080 snowboarding hahaha

Holy crap, how could I forget Jet Force Gemini? Even though the single player sucked towards the end, the multiplayer was freaking awesome. Easiley one of the best shooters for the 64.

If you liked wrestling, WWF No Mercy and WWF Wrestlemania 2000 are the best on that system. And I liked 1080 Snowboarding.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...
