You need a sheet of paper with strategic holes cut out to read it, methinks.

-Actually... I have no idea what I'm looking at. "The young creature in pink had a mother in green; and I rather lady that she smelt of my brandy, and that she would trouble her to affection in him that reminds me of poor Baby." ?

Looks like it's some kind of message generated from randomly combined sentences or parts thereof.

Some spambots use sections of a novel to try and fool the basic filters. At one point the majority of my spam was from the same bot setup, I wound up with a large portion of the story in my inbox.

Pfft, that's nothing. I got an actual spam letter yesterday (yes, snailmail) in which some dude stated he was the King of Switserland but he couldn't go claim his title because "his successor ****ed **** up for him". Now that is cool spam. :D

Except I get like 10 of those a day. This story one is unique, and managed to get past Gmail's filters.

Speaking of Google, it told me that this is David Copperfield, all chopped up.

What's the point of this kind of spam? Did it have an advertisement for a product or something attached?
2006-10-18, 12:06 PM #10
I just recycle it into IM conversations to confuse and annoy.

Also, I've never gotten one of those in my Gmail.

There was this site where you could type in a message and it would "translate" it into very genuine-looking spam. It was awesome.

Can anyone help me find it?
