No no no, I'm not arguing against consoles as a gaming system: I'm arguing against them as a product. Consoles are beginning to be unprofitable markets. The PC market will have to become more suited to the console market because consoles are a dying market. I'm not disputing which is BETTER. I'm disputing which is profitable.
The only generalization I can make is that console games tend to get rushed more than PC games do because the life span of graphics cards is longer. Yes, if you want to play the most recent games, you've got to keep upgrading: To play older games? DOS emulation is the only real hassel. A game's lifespan is a LOT longer, and thus a lot more time can be invested into a game. It does NOT need to be made in a short amount of time to fit the current curve of graphics: It's ideal, but not necissary.
Personally, PCs are for me. I don't do a whole lot of gaming anymore though.
