Silly little mole
Sitting in a hole
If only you knew
What today was.

Today is a day that
Commemorates your name
A day in chemistry
We all know

It’s mole day, don’t you see
Although I guess you’re rather blind
But if you could I’m sure you would
Take a measure of a mole of some kind

It’s all rather silly actually
This day in chemistry
When chemists like to joke
About the measure of a bloke
That shares your name
Only rather than a mole in the ground
It’s the measure of a chemical compound

But I’m sure you’d rather sit in a hole
You silly little mole
Blind and unaware of this day
And I’m sure
That if I was in chemistry
I’d rather be with you
In that hole
Instead of in the lab.

With your date format, you don't even get a mole day. Or a Pi day for that matter. Thus, our date format is obviously superior.
