Cool. I had a friend who had a maxima and he really liked it. AC didn't work worth a damn but it probably just needed to be charged. The car was relatively fast.

Erm, ripped off?

I got my Ford Taurus '99 with 34k miles for only $5000, and in perfect condition. Sure, it doesn't have power locks, nor a cassette player (No CD either, just the radio. It looks odd), but the thing runs great, is fast enough to get out of its own way, and gets great gas milage.

Thats probably because Taruses are ****ty *** cars and their value depreicates at an enormous rate. Most Ford cars do. You could get an 02 Ford Escort for 5000 easily.

And Maximas don't? My grandmother's Maxima, with 100k miles is only valued at 4k, and its a '97.

Notice how hers, which is 2 years older then yours with twice the miles is just about the same price? That is not a good thing. Usually, Nissans, Hondas, and Toyatas depreicate the least. They are Japanese cars, go figure.

How fast does a 1998 Ford contour depreciate in value?

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

You know, for some reason I've always wanted to see one of these make a sharp turn and fall on the side while loaded with people... I don't know, it just bugs me everytime I see one and it doesn't fall.

You're talking about family vehicles/lower end cars. Economy cars and the like. Stangs, Cobras, and a bunch of other models (if you count their sub-companies, Aston Martin is a good start) depreciate very slowly. My friend got a '93 stang for 7k which is a STEAL. Leather interior, black, 6-CD changer, very very nice. It was only 7k because it was at a police auction.
