Well, it's old news to me, but I think it was more recently brought to the general spotlight. I think it's very interesting though, aircraft had the luxary of being able to use lights to hide themselves, ground objects didn't have that option.

Still cool though.

This one is only invisible to microwaves. But that means that you could put something inside of it, and stick it in a microwave oven, and it WOULDN'T HEAT UP

Woah, that's awesome. I would imagine the number of transistors in that thing would have to increase exponentially to bend all sorts of wavelengths of light.

I really wonder when the next transistor will come along. Honestly, transistors can only get so small, and the theoretical limit is almost within reach of Intel iirc. They're doing 45nm and I think the theoretical limit is 30 some.

If his pants went invisible he'd probably be arrested. :ninja:

A couple of years ago someone posted a link here to a news article about a guy in Japan or China or somewhere that created a suit that would make you virtually invisible.

Also, about 8 years ago, Popular Science published an article about a special paint that was going to be used on military fighters that would make them virtually invisible.
"The solution is simple."

That suit only worked in front of cameras.

The paint is real. It's called 'blue'.
