Perhaps I should have read pages 2 - 4 on the SA thread. Apparently Mozilla doesn't want us downloading it yet.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I'm going to hold off a little bit until the extensions I use and love are updated to be fully compatible with it.

Does it still leak memory like hell?
2006-10-24, 5:11 PM #13
Mine's using 48mb with the memory cache OFF, so I suppose so.

Not that I care, it's never gotten high enough to worry about. Now I remember the time Google Desktop, thanks to the WindowBlinds DLL (a problem which has since been resolved) chewed through 2gb of memory in 5 minutes, ah yes...

Supposedly it never did, the extensions did.

It's better on memory usage. Often 1.5 would get up to over 100mb. I've yet to see 2 go over 60.

Okay, I just updated, and I have a SERIOUS PROBLEM:

Alt+S now activates the History menu. However, about 90% of websites use this shortcut (including THIS ONE) as SUBMIT.

I need to find a way to return functionality to how it was before, HELP.

Nooo fasterfox :(

Also, the spellcheck is a bit annoying.

It used to have large memory leaks, now it doesn't. The large amounts of RAM it uses are for page caching. You can turn it off, but it's lame that it's not readily accessible. You have to go into about:config to change it.
