I was first introduced to it after seeing it on some TV commercial years ago. back then, it was just a page filled with spinning animated GIFS or SWF... I don't remember which.

annoying then, still annoying today. Back in HS, there were always those that would play it during typing class to annoy the piss out of everyone else.

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

A few years ago i was gifted the official Hamsterdance CD with like 4 or 5 different remixes of the song.. yeah.. just.. yeah.
