Did anyone else watch it?

I kind of like some of the animation they did, but there were parts that felt propaganda-ish somehow, and other parts that felt retro/dated or something. I think music-based cartoons have that effect though.

Overall, seems like your run-of-the-mill cartoon with a few ups and downs. It's not craptastic like that new Fantastic Four cartoon they tried to air (I hope it dies quickly) nor is it awesome stuff like Megas XLR (not the newest example by far, but I don't feel like trying to think of something offhand.)

I have no problem with Andre 3000, but I like my cartoons classy Ninja turtle's style.

Doesn't interest me like Bleach and Trinity Blood do.

God... both of those suck so hard.

I don't understand how anyone can watch either of those crappy cartoons.

I'm gonna have to look for Class of 1999 next time I'm at the video store. Just watched Class of 1984 recently and it was very funny, though surprisingly graphic (table saw scene!).

You won't find it.

I've tried. :(

Just reporting in that I just watched 1999 with friends. Turned out the video store I like had it, but didn't have the other movie I was looking for, "Santa Claus," a Mexican film from 1959 where Santa fights the devil and his evil talking dolls from his lunar fortress (Santa's fortress that is).

1999 was pretty graphic, had cheesy finishing lines and hilarious fashion. It was odd to see the "violent substitute teacher/savior" genre combined with what was essentially a Terminator knockoff.

And that guy's hair... well... it will be with me forever. Thanks for suggesting it. :)

The best part is when they're having that gang war, and that one teacher goes through the wall and snaps the one guy in half. :)

Haha, without a doubt! :)

I don't understand how they fell for the "dirtbike sound" though... It sounded NOTHING like a motor cycle, and besides that.. What the hell was that thing?
