Anybody getting the game tomorrow? From the videos I've seen it looks really good but then again it could bomb.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

I can't wait to see feedback on the Unreal engine 3. The game itself I sadly wont be getting considering its an X360 exclusive. :saddowns:

I tested it a bit in that DigiExpo thing, didn't seem that special, but I guess some people can enjoy it.

I'll most likely be getting it... unless I read some reviews that completely turn me off to it, but I doubt that's going to happen.

I saw a trailer for it in a movie theater. It was absolutely beautiful.

I just can't wait for an Unreal game on it.

It's out tomorrow? I thought it was out the twelfth. Well, whatever. I've already payed for it, ebgames will call me. It's not as if I'll have time to play it until I finish nanowrimo.

I'm 3/5 done with the game. It's outstanding. I haven't had this much fun playing a game since Resident Evil 4.

I'm a ways through it now, and yeah... it's awesome . It started a little slow in my opinion, but everything has been amazing since. I can't wait to try the co-op mode too.

Does anyone know if progress made in co-op mode is saved (unlike Halo 2)?

As far as I know, yes it is. Essentially, you're playing through the single player game with a friend. From what I understand, you can be playing SP, get to a really tough part, send a game invite to a friend, and they'll join the game at your location and help you out. Whatever checkpoint you reach as a team will be available should you have to leave.

In co-op mode, the host plays as the main character (Marcus) and the other guy plays as Dom, who's there with you the entire game. So, when you invite them in, they just take control of Dom, and when they leave, he goes back to AI.

Sweet. My friend and I used to play Halo 2 coop all the time, but progress was never saved, so I'd have to go back and play the same areas alone to get it to save. After a while I just got sick of playing the same thing twice.

Glad to hear this'll be different.

Uhg... I hate games that have constant AI partners.

The only exception being Republic Commando.

These guys are pretty damn good, though. And they don't die easily. It's like ghost recon - when they go down, you can revive them. You don't have quite the same ability to order them as in ghost recon or even republic commando, but they are plenty smart on their own.

The way the game works is pretty simple, actually: If you aren't behind cover, it must be because you're dead.

The impression I'm getting from reviews and from you guys is that I should pick this up immediately, even though I wasn't initially hyped up for it. Correct?\

I have a hunch that this game will definitely outdo RC. Just a hunch :)

The gimmick with RC was that each squad member had his own personality and own specialty. That was really cool.

General RAAM was easy. I just stayed behind the first bit of cover and blind-fired at him. The problem was, if you stood up the kryll would get you. You had to shoot him while the kryll weren't protecting him, and still not be killed by them.
