The First Annual 'Send Fishstickz A Birthday To Prove his Roommate Wrong' thing.

My roommate said I couldn't get 10 people from this board to send me cards for my birthday. Prove him wrong, Massassi Army.

My birthday is the 10th. You don't actually need to send a card from Hallmark or anything, send it however you want.

Edit: To win the bet they have to be in by the 15th.

Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

I would... but if I send it now I'm not sure how likely it'll be that it gets there on time.

I could send it express from NZ and hope that it gets there in time.

Heh, how would that look? An URGENT birthday card from NEW ZEALAND.

My wife keeps a box of various cards laying around, so I found one.

I'll try to drop it in the mail Thursday.

I tried to shove it in the door, but it's sealed all the way around. I need a way to get it to you without paying postage, because I'm too lazy to buy a stamp :P Is there a dropbox for on-campus mail?

Won't there be a big delay between Canada Post and the American mail people?

For those of you at RIT, don't use your RIT address as your return address, he might get suspicious.

Stickz, I just realized this but there's going to be problems because your real name won't be on the address. They get kinda pissy about that.

The people on the post office say you need to go down there and fill out a card or something so they'll accept mail for "fishstickz", otherwise the mail gets returned to sender.

(wish I thought of this sooner, that's why I don't get mail for Jagged Fel)

Where I should have written my return address I might have written "the axis of evil".

That's a bad idea. I started getting creative with my return address for Christmas cards one year. The few that I signed as "Santa Claus" made it through; the one I signed as "Abe Lincoln" did not. :argh:

I've gotten a lot of stuff from my girlfriend with really wierd return addresses on them. Never thought it would be a problem. :(

So did you get any of 'em yet?
woot!
2006-11-12, 11:58 AM #38
Unless he goes down to the post office and tell them, he's not going to get any :P
