Wow, that would make a great demo reel not just as an animator. Even without dialog it had some good emotion.

I can't fly either but you don't see me nailing trees to a cliff and jumping off. Although I have been known to partake of a plane ride once in a while.

I didn't think it was very sad. He got to experience flying, which was all he wanted. It's a happy ending. Also, splat noises are funny.
