Not really, because most client programs don't implement locking anyway. Most people use WebDAV as a glorified version of FTP that goes over port 80 (so no worries about most firewalls). I would like to use it, for instance, to allow people to upload their levels direct to massassi, instead of using email. I have to figure out the IE web folders first, though.
