What is the standard program used for lightsaber blades in fan films?

Adobe Premiere or After Effects usually.

I suspect GBK will be along shortly and suggest the GIMP.

After Effects. Premiere is far inferior in this respect.

Photoshop works well too. If you have a good enough digital camera you can just use color masking and have it be done automatically, as opposed to drawing in each blade.

You have to look at the big picture. We (as a country) spend more tax money dealing with MS blunders than we do on the software itself. And guess who MS's largest customer is? You guessed it, the government! - Brian

I remember one night my brother, my parents, and me were setting up for a garage sale. Because of lack of something to do, my brother and I dueled with broom sticks. Ah, good times.

I think I'll try the rotoscoping effect on somethingto see how it works.

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

For pics, PS of GIMP will work fine, but After Effects is what most use for the fan films

It's a friend's idea of making a movie. He wanted it to involve Mandalorians, and I felt I needed to keep him from butchering it. I could try the roto-scoping, perhaps, and keep the amount of time the blade is on-screen to a minimum.

Emon's suggestion also intrigues me. I'll have to look at my Dad's camera, it's a recent purchase and he has a habit of buying things with features he'd never use.
