Help wanted with Force stats
2004-07-08, 10:35 PM #1
I'm currently working on a side project, and one of the things I wanted to look into was the max limits of most of the Force powers found in the Jedi Knight games. Here's what I currently have (thanks to instruction manuals and GameFAQs):
Quote:

FORCE JUMP
JK max limit: ??? than normal
JA max limit: 8x higher than normal

FORCE SPEED
JK max limit: ??? for 16 sec.
JA max limit: Slow to 25% normal for 10 sec. (or ??? in MP)

FORCE PUSH/PULL
JK max limit: ??? radius with ??? targets
JA max limit: ??? radius with ??? targets

FORCE SENSE
JK max limit: See players, etc. for 25 sec.
JA max limit: See players and health, etc. for 60 sec.

LIGHTSABER THROW
MotS max limit: Throw for ??? distance
JA max limit: Homing throw for ??? distance

FORCE HEAL
JK max limit: 80HP with 1 sec. delay
JA max limit: ???HP with ??? delay

FORCE PERSUASION
JK max limit: 40 sec. invisible
JA max limit: 1 enemy into ally or distract ??? targets for 30(?) seconds

FORCE ABSORB
JK max limit: 40 sec. invul to Force attacks
JA max limit: Absorb all Force plus gain some back (limit?)

FORCE PROTECTION
JK max limit: Adds 200HP shield for 60 sec.
JA max limit: 75% physical protection for ???

FORCE DRAIN
JA max limit: Steal life from ??? targets from ??? distance

FORCE GRIP
JK max limit: 80HP damage over 5 seconds
JA max limit: ??? damage over 5 seconds

FORCE LIGHTNING
JK max limit: 13 HP per bolt for potential ??? total damage
JA max limit: ??? damage

FORCE DESTRUCTION/RAGE
JK max limit: 80HP with ??? splash damage
JA max limit: 90% immune, 50% faster, ??? stronger attacks, requires additional 25HP to use, need 10 sec. recovery

Besides the areas with ??? in them, I could use information on how much Force mana is used with each attack (whether it be 25% of total mana per use or %10 total mana per second for examples). I've been told that the best place to find out is in the cogs themselves, but please believe me when I say I can't find the cog files much less understand cog. Any help you all could give in filling the blanks would be much appreciated, as well as if any of the information needs correcting.

If any of you are familiar with other SW games involving similar Force powers, like West End's D6 RPG perhaps, I'd be interested to hear the max limits placed in those as well.

Thanks for your time [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Are you looking for the real stats? If so, then the Force Drain steals enemy's FORCE and converts it into LIFE for you. Absorb for JA absorbs all force attacks. Force Pull (no push) for JK only has one target, and takes away their weapon. In JA it takes their weapon and moves them. JA also has pull. Sense for JK reveals items, projectiles, debris and players on the map, AND lights up the level fully for the duration. JA's saber throw is not homing, but you can move it so it is.

This is all I got so far, but Rage dosen't need an addition 25 HP. It usually stops at 1 life and 0 force, unless you pick up a health pack. It'll stop at the same time, but you'll have more health.

"Dalton, that pie just moved of it's own accord."

"You must be mistaken, Tess. A pie can't move."
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

"Oh."

I'm more interested in the numbers, but like I said before, if any of the information I posted was wrong, corrections would be good too.
