Seeing that it has good graphics without the price of a PS3, and has some good games going for it, I fail to see it going "dreamcast-style" any time soon.

All the blokes at my office have 360s and are in love with Gears of War over t'internet.

I'm still going to buy a Wii, especially as I've seen that Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is being released for it - so even if the wavey-round stuff doesn't grab me (and I'm sure it will :D) I can play Tony Hawk until my eyes bleed.

Yeah, the 360 is going to be around for a long time. Anyone who argues otherwise is biased against microsoft - and that statement is perfectly accurate around here.

halo 3 is being played publically online(internally of course) so i dont foresee the xbox going by the wayside anytime soon

I think the important thing to consider is the company that made the Dreamcast.. and the company that makes the 360.
