At least it's not PS3. We've gotten like 60 more Wiis in since launch, and a whopping 4 PS3's.

I'm going to actually wait a couple of months before buying one. I want to see around how it is afte a few months. Its all fun and innovative, but I am somewhat doubtful of the long term enjoyment.

I think sony f'd up badly with the ps3's distribution.

It has nothing to do with "learning" from anything (ps, linking to a horribly biased comic isn't supporting your point at all). It has everything to do with their stupidity in leaving manufacturing till the last 3 months when so many of the parts they needed were in short supply. Blue laser diodes, cell processors, even the RSX as I recall. Christ, it's not some marketing ploy people, Sony just screwed up their production, which could be fatal to them (literally) as a company. Sure, sony execs try to say it's on purpose and try to put a good spin on it, but realize Sony execs have been lying since before the PS2.
