One of us bought one of these:

And tonight, we decided to try it out.

First... we tasted it by tapping a finger into the powder. It was nasty.

THEN... we mixed it into soda... again, nasty.

The only logical thing to do at that point was to snort it. I'm so wired, I don't know what the hell to do. I have a heart monitor, and I'm at a normal pulse, so I'm fine and healthy, just REALLY awake. Craziness.

Anyone else tried pure caffeine?

It was carefully measured on a digital scale. We're more silly than stupid. Using a BMI and a dosage chart we calculated the maximum that would kill each of us. We then divided that value by 20 and measured that amount out. It totaled the amount we used in the evening.

the stuff is disgusting. It tastes like you haven't cleaned your ears in months and you just dig out the wax and chomped down on it x 100. It's nasty. lol

Surprisingly, no. It burns like hell though. Gets stuck in your sinuses because it's a VERY fine powder... and then your sinuses start to drain into your mouth and that awful taste just lingers. Again, that's where the stupid // silly part comes into play.

A friend of mine snorted cayanne pepper at a party once. The hilarity that ensued was something else. Of course, it sucked hard for him, but at least he was drunk off his ***.

Actually, I've eaten, drunk (after dissolving it into soda), and insufflated caffeine.

God that was horrible. Insufflation with that burns...hardcore.

But yeah, it takes like a gram to kill most normal weight males with normal tolerance. It's not that bad. But yeah, it'll get you geeked.

I used it once to stay awake at school...lasted a good 4 hours after I drank a soda with like 200 extra mg in it. Worked rather well, but I was mindless the entire day. Ended up staying up til like 6 trying to get a project done...fun times.

Yeah, but a gram is where I draw the line just for safety's sake. You also have to take into account how much you've had through the day, etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, a full gram will probably make you very hyper, shakey, nauseas, and or possibly very sick. But even with what most energy drinks contain in them, adding a gram won't kill you unless you've already had a near lethal dose in other forms. Some 80 energy drinks or something all in a short period of time.

Update!

So... I fell asleep around 2:30AM CST, only to be rudely awakened by my digestive tract preparing for a mutiny. After what I believe to be the most horrific bathroom experience I've ever had in my life, I am now fine.

The moral of the story? 1/20th of the lethal dose is really really bad for you. :ninja:

On the Free Beer and Hot Wings morning show, they sometimes make Producer Joe snort things as part of his weekly challenge. They have a video of when he had to snort sugar (looks like cocaine) in a public place on their website.

Can't find it on their site. They must have taken it down.
