A 3D artist could find those very handy. I find the actual skeletal models kind of creepy / awesome. >_>

With what experience I have as an animator, I feel that some of their attempts didn't study their movement enough to properly match even an approximation of their skeletal structure (obviously, they can't build it 100% accurate 100% of the time because the characters are distorted in even the most mundane of animated sequences).

Still, pretty awesome stuff to see.

I just did something like this for Drawing class. Taking a figure from a drawing and applying the skeleton.
